The Invisalign System™ from Align Technology is a significant breakthrough in comprehensive adult orthodontic treatment. The Invisalign System combines an orthodontist's diagnosis and treatment plan for straightening the patient's teeth with the latest in 3-D computer graphics technology. The System enables orthodontic treatment in discrete stages from an initial to a final position. Each custom-made, clear appliance (or aligner) is manufactured by Align Technology to meet the orthodontist's specifications. Final fitting and delivery of the aligners occurs in the orthodontist's office.

The nearly undetectable appearance of the Invisalign® appliance is ideal for many adults who want straighter teeth, but do not want to wear traditional braces. Each pair of Invisalign aligners (one for the upper arch and one for the lower arch) is worn for approximately two weeks before changing to the next pair in the treatment plan. Aligners are only removed for eating, brushing and flossing.

Invisalign may be an option even for teenagers!

There are four primary benefits of Invisalign®:

1. Invisalign® is nearly invisible – you can straighten your teeth without anyone knowing.

2. Invisalign® is removable – you can eat and drink what you want in treatment; you can also brush and floss normally to maintain good oral hygiene.

3. Invisalign® is comfortable – there are no metal brackets or wires to cause mouth irritation; no metal or wires also means you spend less time in the doctor’s chair getting adjustments

4. Invisalign® allows you to view your own virtual treatment plan before you start – so you can see how your straight teeth will look when your treatment is complete.

Treatment with Invisalign aligners will not work for everyone. If you are interested, please contact our office to set up a free initial examination appointment. At this appointment Dr. Jarrell will inform you if Invisalign is right for you, and if not, what other options are available to you.
