2010 JARRELL ORTHODONTICS' WE CARE TREE

IT'S A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS!

For the 12th year in a row, the staff at Jarrell Orthodontics took part in WWKI's WE CARE "Trim-a-Tree" program. The staff chose "It's A Charlie Brown Christmas" as the theme for the tree in 2010 and recreated the Christmas tree you see at the end of the Charlie Brown Christmas special on television. The tree features an array of brightly colored glass ball ornaments, and the large light bulb shaped lights popular used when Charlie Brown specials first aired. Then, we made a red and green paper chain to put on the tree and added 1 strand of popcorn garland in addition to our gold star tree topper. We had a tree skirt made to look like the blanket Linus carries. It features blue blanket material on one side and flannel materical imprinted with Charlie Brown Christmas scenes on the "flip side". White blanket seam binding finishes it off.

Surrounding the tree are a variety of Charlie Brown Christmas themed items. Snoopy, wearing a Santa Claus hat, is standing next to his doghouse which was custom made and decorated for the holiday, of course! Snoopy and his dog house are joined by a 60th anniversary book of the Peanuts Comic Strip, a Charlie Brown Christmas Yahtzee game, puzzle, holiday path markers, a 3 DVD set of Charlie Brown holiday specials, Peanuts Christmas wrapping paper, a Snoopy door mat, a clock that plays Christmas tunes on the hour, Peanuts hot cocoa, a lighted door wreath featuring Charlie Brown and Snoopy, a lighted snow gauge, a nighlight, a replica of Charlie's sorry looking little tree before it was decorated, and more. Anyone who loves the Peanuts gang will love this tree!
